1. Local-First Operation
PromptVault is a local-first application. Your data, including prompts, projects, and personal configuration, is stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB. We do not have access to your prompt library unless you explicitly use cloud-sync features or integrations.
2. Use of AI Features & BYOK Proxies
By using optional AI improvement or debugging features, you acknowledge that your prompt content may be sent to third-party AI providers (as configured in your settings) for processing. For BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) proxy services, we explicitly do not log your API keys and we do not intercept the content passing through the proxy. You are responsible for the content you process.
3. Intellectual Property & Data Ownership
You, the user, retain full ownership of all the prompts, prompt data, and content you create. PromptVault is a tool for organization and enhancement; we claim no rights to your library, nor do we use it for training our own models.
4. Disclaimers
The software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Since data is stored locally, you are responsible for maintaining backups. We are not liable for any data loss resulting from browser cache clearing or hardware failure.
