PromptVault started because I was losing my best prompts in endless ChatGPT histories. The first version was just a place to store text. But as AI evolved, the problem changed. It wasn't just about saving prompts anymore—it was about structuring them perfectly for different models, tracking their performance objectively, and having them instantly available in any text field across the web.

The Stack
- Frontend: Built with Next.js 14, Tailwind, and Framer Motion for a fluid, dynamic UI.
- Data Layer: Local-first architecture using IndexedDB (dexie.js) for instantaneous access.
- Backend & Cloud: Auth and cloud-sync powered by Supabase.
- AI Routing: AI features routed through OpenRouter for maximum model flexibility without lock-in.
WILxAI is the brand behind PromptVault. It's how I build in public — on YouTube, on X, on Instagram, on TikTok, on Dev.to. Every tool I build starts as a problem I had. PromptVault is the first one I decided to make available to other developers. I hope it saves you the same frustration it saved me.
