"Our privacy policy is simple: What happens in the vault, stays in the vault."

1. Local-Only by Default

PromptVault is designed to be local-first. Your prompts, personas, and category structures are stored in your browser's IndexedDB. We do not track what you write, how you organize your library, or your specific prompt content.

2. BYOK API Proxies & Data Processing

If you enable AI features, your prompts are sent to the AI providers you specify via secure API proxy calls. For BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) proxy requests, we explicitly do not log your API keys, nor do we intercept, read, or train on the content passing through the proxy. We do not middle-man this data for the purpose of training or tracking.

3. Analytics

We use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to understand site performance and feature usage at a high level. This does not include your private data, API keys, or prompt content.

4. Data Ownership & Your Control

You, the user, own all your prompt data. You can export or delete your entire vault at any time from the settings menu. Since we don't hold your data, you are the ultimate authority over it.
